My Two Cents

Allhumdolillah! I am at a much better place since my last post with series of lab tests, utlrasounds, a mammogram and some other really scary tests, and a gut wrenching anxiety of results. I am doing well thankfully everything was clear except low iron levels with vitamin d3 deficiency. These deficiencies are now on their way to recovery. It is worth noting that I have been struggling with intense brain and physical fatigue since 2019 but not a single doctor was able to identify my problem. Once somebody is diagnosed with depression or anxiety then every health issue they complain about is looked from the psychological lenses. Nobody asked me to check iron, vitamin b12 or vitamin d3 deficiencies even my mum who is a dermatologist always assured me that I am fine and this weakness is just a phase.   It was a phase alright, it engulfed almost 8 years of my life pushed back my career and research ambitions.  This is not the case alone with me but there are many people who silentl...

Faithland



Once upon a time long-long ago in the kingdom of Faithland there lived great Kings and Queens by the names of ‘Peace, Justice, Honesty & Sincerity’. Under their rule the citizens of Faithland lived a life full of happiness and joy. They had plenty of food to feed every single person of their country; everyone had enough money to live their best life; and they all lived in the most protective environment.

Until…

Until there came four strangers in Faithland ‘Lie, Deceit, Opportunist & Greed'. .As soon as they entered the threshold of Faithland they started to conspire against the great Kings and Queens of Faithland; a brutal war broke within, killing many leaving few.

People of Faithland decided that the only way to live safely is to allow Lie, Deceit, Opportunist& Greed to be nominated as the permanent rulers of their country.

However, with this decision of the citizens began the doom of ‘Faithland’. The life of happiness and joy changed to life of fear and chaos. The quantity of food changed from being plenty to scarce leaving many with insatiable hunger.

The Faithland never remained the same, because its citizens compromised and accepted defeat by the false but shinny and illusive power of Lie, Deceit, Opportunist& Greed.

The great and powerful Kings and Queens,‘Peace, Justice, Honesty & Sincerity’ were arrested and hanged by the orders of new Kings of Faithland ‘Lie, Deceit, Opportunist & Greed.’

Long live the Kings!

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS): What It Actually Feels Like

Wow! It feels nice to be back to my favourite place in the world, my blog, my love. But today it seems that the world has rotated 360 degrees. As I was trying to figure out how to tap into this new world order I thought the best way is to ask my Higher Power to guide me through. And what a better way to do that, other than recite a prayer ‘Dua Istikhara’ a supplication used by Muslims to seek guidance from Allah before making a decision.
