Allhumdolillah! I am at a much better place since my last post with series of lab tests, utlrasounds, a mammogram and some other really scary tests, and a gut wrenching anxiety of results. I am doing well thankfully everything was clear except low iron levels with vitamin d3 deficiency. These deficiencies are now on their way to recovery. It is worth noting that I have been struggling with intense brain and physical fatigue since 2019 but not a single doctor was able to identify my problem. Once somebody is diagnosed with depression or anxiety then every health issue they complain about is looked from the psychological lenses. Nobody asked me to check iron, vitamin b12 or vitamin d3 deficiencies even my mum who is a dermatologist always assured me that I am fine and this weakness is just a phase. It was a phase alright, it engulfed almost 8 years of my life pushed back my career and research ambitions. This is not the case alone with me but there are many people who silentl...
Sometimes the things we fear most become our most powerful weapon.
There is always a threshold to everything, to every experience, to every pain
and to every fear. However, once you cross that threshold, that limit; your are free.
In that particular moment when you have truly tasted what you
feared most, your immunity takes charge. A certain defence mechanism which you
were unaware to have ever existed in you, all of a sudden takes the control.
This immunity, this defence mechanism or freedom is actually
your Courage. A gift that has been
given to you by God, because if we didn’t have such element in us we would have
been extinct by now.
I have to admit that I have courage, and quite a lot of it. Thankfully,
I experienced courage in a relatively healthy situation because there are many
people who have to go through an ordeal to discover their courage.
We always look for big events in our life to teach us lessons,
so that we could become a better person. Nevertheless, we ignore the fact that
sometimes little incidents in our life could be our great teachers.
It is not easy to feel your courage until you have endured
your fear, your pain, your anxiety or anger.
Hah the story of my life...
Now lets take a look at the
lighter side of things, of course by that I mean The Oscars. I am not a huge fan of award functions but this time
they were hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, my favorite TV personality after Oprah.
She is fun and exciting, and above all extremely hilarious. This is the second time she hosted this function and I must say she did hell of a job. More to girl power! Yeh...
Oscars always have very sophisticated atmosphere, where everyone is dressed to perfection; however, this time it was a fun thing to watch. So many beautiful talented
people, wearing the most phenomenally expensive clothes and eating pizzas right
in the midst of Oscars. And then who can forget the most popular selfie of
Ellen which had all the big stars.
If you can then do watch this function, you'll have a good time and some very funny moments bound to give some laughs..
With all my affections,
Have a great weekend!
