Another selfie!

Indonesian President taking selfies with students

Yesterday I saw this picture in a newspaper and couldn’t stop but fell in complete awe of the Indonesian President Joko Widodo and his wife Iriana who went to Singapore to attend their son's high school graduation.

This picture not only depicts the friendliness of the President but also highlights his closeness with his son, which many parents take for granted as they reach high on the ladder of social success. If the President can be so much involved with his children, then lack of time or work load is definitely no excuse for other parents.

What is more interesting that the President and his wife refused to take the presidential plan, they travelled on the national carrier and paid for their tickets because it was a personal trip. The couple queued up at the check-in desk in Jakarta with other passengers.

This is not only the Indonesian President but many other Head of the States have on numerous occasions shown similar gestures of humility. I must say, this is an example for all of us, especially for the people in power in our country.

Respect is not dependent on the arbitrage you carry with you nor on your social class but respect is intertwined with your humility. Irrespective of what one has achieved in life, it is more important how you have achieved it.

With much love & prayers.
