Although I have profound respect for her guidance but a voice inside my heart said “No! I refuse to accept this theory because this isn’t true”. I agree that at times we wish for one thing and something completely different appears in our life. However, what we fail to realize is that we receive something that is actually wonderful when compared with what we wished for initially. Why we fail to realize that, is because we cling to our desires by standing in our own way thus we become our own enemy. It is so wonderful to have the time to meet friends, to talk to share. This is what I have done today, I had the opportunity to have a tete a tete with my reiki master who is my Acupressure teacher and a dear friend.   Although it was not a very long session of our chit-chat but whatever time was there we utilized it to the optimum. Unexpected holiday in the early part of the week could suddenly halt all activities, something which only Karachites would understand and agree with. You plan to do few things and there it is right out of nowhere, a holiday. Since I am in the gratitude mode for everything in my life, I took this event as a time off a time with family. Having nothing much to do, I watched one of my favourite TV programs a property show on BBC Lifestyle “Fantasy Homes by the Sea”. In this program people who would like to own a property by the sea contact BBC team and the BBC people show them the properties within the buyer’s budget range. Mostly the properties are located in the countryside of UK, Spain, Italy or even Morocco and they range from £200,000 to £ 1 million. Breathtaking lush green landscapes and sea-views right in front of your lounge window, what more to ask from life. For all my foreigner friends who are unfamiliar with the Pakistan Day, it is the day celebrated to honor three significant events; first the passing of the Lahore Resolution on 23 rd March 1940 by The Muslim League at the annual conference held from 22–24 March in 1940. During this three days session Muslim League passed a resolution for having independent states for Muslims under British Raj in India, however, subsequently it became a symbol for the demand of separate Muslim state. Had an intense day thankfully not on the emotional side but more on the physical and mental level. Its my third day of teaching my younger cousin how to drive and I must say that it’s a challenge. I am not really into teaching but it was the pressing need of the hour so here I am. It went fine while we were on the plain grounds but now we are coming on side roads and more than him I am scared. I have been a very cautious person throughout my life and now my comfort zones are being tested. Well over all we are quite content with the progress we are making but honestly I have a huge responsibility on my shoulders of not only keeping us safe but also to teach him the best way onto roads. So prayers are needed to help both of us go through this time easily. It was the day before yesterday I think, when I was beyond my bedtime and started to listen to the radio. It is not my routine to write in the evenings however I must say that today is one those beautiful and serene evenings which inspires you. The weather is simply perfect with cold breezes and I don’t have the words to describe the effect which evening sunlight is having on me. There is something different about today- it seems as the colour of flowers, of sky and everything is different; more vibrant more alive. I feel to have today a different pair of eyes, the sounds, the smells in the air and the taste food is bursting with flavours. What has happened to me I do not know but I pray that it remains like this forever.
