Ramadan Mubarak!

Wishing all my dearest readers and their loved ones a blessed, peaceful & prosperous Ramadan. May all your dreams come true, may you enjoy the love of your loved ones, may you have all the health…

We waited and waited but the moon wasn’t in the mood of showing up so easily, although we knew that clouds were not willing to leave the skies but something inside quite strongly said that tomorrow is definitely going to be the beginning of the Holy month of Ramadan.

Once the final decision was announced, then began a series of text messages from near and dear ones. It is such a delightful feeling to experience the connectedness with so many people some of them are not even close relatives. It is definitely a blissful feeling.

I have to give my deepest gratitude to all of you for all the best wishes and love you have showered me and my family with. I pray that all of you be blessed with the same love and prosperity.

I shall be brief and quick today because its way beyond my sleeping time and there is lot to be done tomorrow so I need to get some rest.

After fighting with an alien cat in my dream, I am awake at 1.30 am. It all is followed by a futile effort of building a sleep pattern of 9.30 pm to 6 am. Alas, not all wishes come true at once. From Home to Dubai: A New Year's Journey

 A very happy new year to all my lovely family, dearest friends & amazing readers. I am amazed that on 1 January 2024 for the first time in my life I am not home but in Dubai. Dubai, a city of lights, kites, bikes, heights, and of course Rolls Royce; where people of so many beautiful & different languages, cultures come for earning livelihoods, some for shopping, others to optimize their wealth and while others come aboard on winters to have some fun. Dubai was not in my bucket list because it was synonymous to earning money and I hardly had any sense or concept of wealth. All I enjoyed is the little pocket-money that my mom used to give me out of my own salary and that was my life. I could buy coffee, I could go crazy with stationary shopping (I know stationary sounds crazy but I never claimed to be normal). 23rd March is the  Pakistan Day or Pakistan Resolution Day, also our Republic Day, a national holiday in Pakistan commemorating the Lahore Resolution passed on 23 March 1940. Today after a long time, I have truly felt celebrating Pakistan Day- amazing parade by our esteemed armed forces, rangers, police, also participated by our distinguished friends and guests.  A warm welcome to Malaysian Prime Minister Mr. Mahatir Bin Mohamad on his visit to Pakistan. Congratulations and best of wishes to our Prime Minister Mr. Imran Khan, his team and our President for all their efforts and hard work.
