My Two Cents

Allhumdolillah! I am at a much better place since my last post with series of lab tests, utlrasounds, a mammogram and some other really scary tests, and a gut wrenching anxiety of results. I am doing well thankfully everything was clear except low iron levels with vitamin d3 deficiency. These deficiencies are now on their way to recovery. It is worth noting that I have been struggling with intense brain and physical fatigue since 2019 but not a single doctor was able to identify my problem. Once somebody is diagnosed with depression or anxiety then every health issue they complain about is looked from the psychological lenses. Nobody asked me to check iron, vitamin b12 or vitamin d3 deficiencies even my mum who is a dermatologist always assured me that I am fine and this weakness is just a phase.   It was a phase alright, it engulfed almost 8 years of my life pushed back my career and research ambitions.  This is not the case alone with me but there are many people who silentl...

Unfocused Media

Unexpected twists and turns spice up life, especially the good ones. How beautiful it is when one does not expect anything from anybody, there comes a moment out of the blue which shows us an entirely different perspective of people and circumstances. And then we are humbled and grateful for relinquishing the belief that there is no more virtue left in the world. New avenues have been lined up for me and I don’t have a clue as to where to proceed, but I don’t need to worry because as usual I shall consult the Higher Power to guide me towards the right path. Most of the day was spent either walking or reading some academic material the aim of which I am still unable to understand, but we do what we have to. Finally the hot and happnin issue of the matrimony of two international stature celebrities has been settled, yes Shoaib and Sania are about to tie the knot, InshaAllah. I never had any interest in either cricket or cricketers but thanks to the bombardment of this news from all co...

Laziness or Intuition

There are days which have no events to narrate, nothing to express, one simply sits idyllic and just be; however, this has become monotonous in my case. I don’t write a word unless I have an intense impulse to begin, it might sound to few a form of laziness to just depend on some intuition and not be pro-active, of not taking charge of things. Believe me most of my life I had never taken a back seat, if anything needs to be done then I would immediately start to think of how to take action and make necessary calls, that’s what most of us do. Nevertheless, I have come to a better understanding, instead of telling God what I need to make me happy I just tell Him that I want to be happy and the way to get to it would be shown automatically. A point comes when one has exhausted all possible resources and thinking and still we get nowhere, it is then you consciously decide to handover the matter to the Higher Power to show the way. Many a times the way is not shown immediately it might ta...

Fun with Family

After a peculiar incident we finally got out of the situation safely. Thank God for that! Healthy entertainment is difficult to find these days but if we are fortunate enough to discover it then I say, grab it by both hands and make the most of it. Yeh that’s what happened in my case I almost discovered a venue which was for couple of years located right under my nose and I just didn’t see it. It is bizarre when something that we deeply desire is within our easy excess but we are just unable to notice it. I hope that doesn’t happen to anybody else. Anyways couple weeks ago I suddenly noticed Arena, entertainment & recreational club, in the midst of Karsaz Road in Karachi. I had seen its hoarding a thousand times but ignored it every time, I thought it would be some sort of children play area-cum-restaurant place. Today we finally decided to bless this place with our gracious visit and to my pleasant surprise it is a real cool place to spend time. The visitors were all gentry and h...
