My Two Cents

Allhumdolillah! I am at a much better place since my last post with series of lab tests, utlrasounds, a mammogram and some other really scary tests, and a gut wrenching anxiety of results. I am doing well thankfully everything was clear except low iron levels with vitamin d3 deficiency. These deficiencies are now on their way to recovery. It is worth noting that I have been struggling with intense brain and physical fatigue since 2019 but not a single doctor was able to identify my problem. Once somebody is diagnosed with depression or anxiety then every health issue they complain about is looked from the psychological lenses. Nobody asked me to check iron, vitamin b12 or vitamin d3 deficiencies even my mum who is a dermatologist always assured me that I am fine and this weakness is just a phase.   It was a phase alright, it engulfed almost 8 years of my life pushed back my career and research ambitions.  This is not the case alone with me but there are many people who silentl...

Conclusions

Such a waste of time and energy when efforts are focused on useless aims, but who knew that the aims were useless it was only after a certain time was invested we realize their futility. It leads us back to square one or as said loth key budho ghar ko aiey (after a purposeless journey idiots return home). Since I’m trying my best to transform into a positive thinker I’ll look at the situation with a  glass half filled  perspective; so some good did come out and the tasks which were dormant once became not only active but were completed with a degree of perfection. At times regardless of how sincere and dedicated our efforts have been things are simply not meant to manifest. So what should we do then, should we keep on trying or call it quits? Or should we wait patiently with a belief that we did our best and have faith in the destiny. One thing which I am sure of is the Effect shall never be different from the Cause, it might be delayed however. So what is the conclusion of...

Nature

Condolences and prayers for all those who lost their lives and loved ones to the earthquake in China, killing more than 400 and injuring approximately 10,000 people. It is another sad incident after the aircraft crash of Poland’s President, his wife, army personnel and civilians. May God rest their souls in peace . Life has such unexpected packages in store for us; with a blink of eye it has the power to change the entire course of so many lives. We all must be grateful for what we have and pray that the blessings of God shall remain with us, always. In the quietness of afternoons when Indian cuckoo chirps somewhere it symbolizes the arrival of summer. Even in that humidity a sense of clam enthrals our being only if we stop for a moment, take a breadth and listen to that sound devoid of all mental noise or thinking or judgement, just being there totally in that moment. How beautiful it is if we could feel the breeze touching us, hear sounds in proximity, see all that is around us....

Shopping

If I have to make a list of the most boring things to do then shopping would top my list. Whether it’s for clothes, shoes or anything this is something that I am really uncomfortable doing. In case I decide to take this humongous task I want to get over with it as quickly as possible, thankfully I’m a quick decision maker so I hardly encounter any confusion. All I have to do is to come in contact with the object of my desire this might take some time but after that everything falls into place. The one quality of mine I truly admire is that 99% of the time I know what I want; life becomes so easy when we have a clear cut idea of our desires otherwise with trillions of option available things are bound to get confusing. Today I’m sort of shopping/browsing for a new mobile and its comforting to know that I have short-listed couple of them so buying would be easy now. All of them are simple and apt for my needs to the surprise of many I’m not going for any pricy options. Life has become v...

Health & Safety

Its only 9 pm and sleep is already getting the best of me, eyes are becoming heavy, keys on the notepad are pressed rather slowly. But I can’t just go to bed so early, there is so much left to do from praying to writing a few articles for different publications. The content of which I agree would be quite different from my professional domain. Yes I am venturing into health related areas something which is more at home for my mother however past few days I have met people who are working rigorously for health and safety of our citizens and I am influenced by their work so I decided to contribute in my own little way as much as possible. Prospects are still in the pipeline so it is only prudent to elaborate on them when matters are confirmed. I visited HANDS an NGO chaired by Dr. Ghaffar Billo who is also considered the godfather of pediatrics in Pakistan so if anything has his involvement then it is worthwhile to explore. HANDS is mainly focused on the betterment of health standar...
