My Two Cents

Allhumdolillah! I am at a much better place since my last post with series of lab tests, utlrasounds, a mammogram and some other really scary tests, and a gut wrenching anxiety of results. I am doing well thankfully everything was clear except low iron levels with vitamin d3 deficiency. These deficiencies are now on their way to recovery. It is worth noting that I have been struggling with intense brain and physical fatigue since 2019 but not a single doctor was able to identify my problem. Once somebody is diagnosed with depression or anxiety then every health issue they complain about is looked from the psychological lenses. Nobody asked me to check iron, vitamin b12 or vitamin d3 deficiencies even my mum who is a dermatologist always assured me that I am fine and this weakness is just a phase.   It was a phase alright, it engulfed almost 8 years of my life pushed back my career and research ambitions.  This is not the case alone with me but there are many people who silentl...

This moment is all that is..

When you get caught up in the trivialities of life, when you are tired to your core, when you endlessly run errands, do daily chores and at the end of it all your head is busting with headache you see something and it inspires. It inspires you to be, to breathe. Today my muse has been a film “Zindgai naa milegi dobara” yes I am inspired. At first I watched this film to kill my time in the evening after having a much delayed lunch. Then the movie’s location asked me stay on and then finally the message of the film “to live in the present moment” inspired me. To experience the aliveness of your life you don’t have to go Spain or do deep sea diving or jump from 15,000 ft but all you need to do is to breathe and feel the life that is within you. Then the sun rays titillating your face, a flower in your balcony, laughter of a child, stars, moon in full bloom are all the miracles of life unfolding in front of you all the time. They could inspire you but you have to be there to look...

Website finally…

I just experienced how a small piece of chocolate brownie could hugely impact one’s state of being. I was sleepy and lethargic and then this brownie came in my life and changed it all, but I need to be careful with my love relationship with chocolates since to taste a small piece could mean 150 calories and an increased waistline. A heavy price to pay for impulsive love… After a long wait, hundred calls back and forth, several editing - my website is finally activated with the latest version. Although earlier one was fine and active since 2008 however in last few months whenever I looked at it there was too much material. I believe when you are a new comer in any field you just want to do exactly what others are doing because you want to fit in. If the people who are pros of the field are following a particular method then they must be right and their way is to be followed. Websites of majority of the law firms here or abroad were filled with tons of information most...

Life as it is…

Before we begin, let us all dedicate few seconds to pray for the peace of Arfah Karim’s departed soul. May she rest in peace and her family gets the courage to face this distressful time with grace. When a talented person is right in front of us only desiring our appreciation we withhold our admiration and the moment that person leaves the world we suddenly feel a great loss. When this little girl was alive with us only formal recognition was given to her and the moment she died you see hundreds of known and unknown powerful people condoling her demise, someone even decided to establish an IT University in Arfah’s honour. Media needs to seriously look at its policies because it seems to have made a steadfast trait to only promote darkness and violence when it is not the only thing happening. Other than IT students very few people were aware of Arfah Karim being the youngest Microsoft Certified Specialist. Media failed to promote her achievements and the only thing whi...
