My Two Cents

Allhumdolillah! I am at a much better place since my last post with series of lab tests, utlrasounds, a mammogram and some other really scary tests, and a gut wrenching anxiety of results. I am doing well thankfully everything was clear except low iron levels with vitamin d3 deficiency. These deficiencies are now on their way to recovery. It is worth noting that I have been struggling with intense brain and physical fatigue since 2019 but not a single doctor was able to identify my problem. Once somebody is diagnosed with depression or anxiety then every health issue they complain about is looked from the psychological lenses. Nobody asked me to check iron, vitamin b12 or vitamin d3 deficiencies even my mum who is a dermatologist always assured me that I am fine and this weakness is just a phase.   It was a phase alright, it engulfed almost 8 years of my life pushed back my career and research ambitions.  This is not the case alone with me but there are many people who silentl...

Saturday and Rumi

This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes As an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! Even if they're a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture, still treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond. The Guest House by Mewlana Jalaluddin Rumi All spiritual teachings in one poem….. Simply Magnificent. The negative emotions the sorrow, fear, anxiety, irritation are all in the human being visiting them every morning by way of thoughts or emotions. The purpose is not to run away from them but to become aware of them, to become there witness and fully accept there presence. With this Awareness comes Presence and with it come...

23rd March 2012- Pakistan Day

So Much Gratitude to God for blessing us with our own beautiful country Pakistan, a land rich with culture & resources and a place we all call home. A place which gave us our identity, education, our livelihood…   THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU GOD FOR BLESSING US WITH PAKISTAN… Many congratulations to all the citizens of Pakistan on the Pakistan Day. For all my foreigner friends who are unfamiliar with the Pakistan Day, it is the day celebrated to honor three significant events; first the passing of the Lahore Resolution on 23 rd March 1940 by The Muslim League at the annual conference held from 22–24 March in 1940. During this three days session Muslim League passed a resolution for having independent states for Muslims under British Raj in India, however, subsequently it became a symbol for the demand of separate Muslim state. The second reason is the adoption of the First Constitution of Pakistan and the third is the change of the Dominion of Paki...

Teaching & Acting

Had an intense day thankfully not on the emotional side but more on the physical and mental level. Its my third day of teaching my younger cousin how to drive and I must say that it’s a challenge. I am not really into teaching but it was the pressing need of the hour so here I am. It went fine while we were on the plain grounds but now we are coming on side roads and more than him I am scared. I have been a very cautious person throughout my life and now my comfort zones are being tested. Well over all we are quite content with the progress we are making but honestly I have a huge responsibility on my shoulders of not only keeping us safe but also to teach him the best way onto roads. So prayers are needed to help both of us go through this time easily. It was the day before yesterday I think, when I was beyond my bedtime and started to listen to the radio. Although the radio usually have songs and more songs but this time they were giving a program on our veteran actor Muh...
